I’m Philip, a wedding videographer based on the Essex / Suffolk border. I’ve been filming weddings across Essex since 2013, from country houses and converted barns to garden ceremonies, churches and marquees.
I filmed my very first wedding in Essex, at Vaulty Manor. Since then I’ve filmed almost 400 weddings, and Essex has been a big part of that. I’ve spent countless days at venues across the county, getting to know how they work and the teams who run them.
But wherever you’re getting married, my approach is always the same. I want to capture your wedding as it happens, without turning it into a film shoot. The people, the words, the atmosphere are all important.
That’s what makes a wedding film worth watching years later.
I'm Essex born and raised, (shout out South Woodham Ferrers!) and although I don't live in the county any more, (I've moved north, across the border to Suffolk), I'm lucky that most of my work is still in Essex, and I've been lucky enough to film at some brilliant wedding venues across Essex, and many of them I've returned to time and again.
I'm a recommended supplier at Houchins, Hatfield Place, Barnston Lodge, The Lion Inn, Tuffon Hall and High House, and I've also filmed numerous weddings at Braxted Park, Gaynes Park, Gosfield Hall, Mulberry House, Blake Hall and other venues across the county.
Knowing a venue makes a real difference. I know where I can move discreetly during a ceremony, where the light works well, how the venue run the day, and how to make the most of the time between the formal parts of the wedding.
