The White Hart Yeldham Wedding Video | Megan & Nathan

Shot on location at The White Hart, Yeldham, Essex | September 2022

This was a great day, I loved my time with Megan & Nathan & I loved putting together their The White Hart Yeldham Wedding Video.

I arrived at The White Hart early in the morning to say hello to the girls & grab some of the set up & I found a very relaxed Megan being looked after by everyone. Luckily, the boys arrived a little later. I knew they had arrived as they need a whole coach to bring Nathan & his Ushers. Well, that’s not actually true, they arrived in cars, but if you have a football team’s worth of ushers you’re going to need to study transport!

One of my favourite moments of the day was Megan’s reveal to her Bridesmaids. As she stepped out from behind a curtain the reaction of her bridesmaid, & her own reaction, was priceless. I was delighted to be able to capture that moment.

This was my second wedding in a row working alongside the brilliant Charlotte from Three Flowers Photography & we had a great time. Charlotte takes some stunning photos & you should check them out if you get a chance.

I hope Megan & Nathan, along with their friends & family, enjoy this film of their day. I loved putting together their White Hart Yeldham Wedding Video & I thank them for their help & hospitality on the day.

How did you meet?

We have been together for almost 8 years (our anniversary is our wedding date!). We met through mutual friends whilst Megan was at school and Nathan was at college; two of Megan’s friends were dating two of Nathan’s friends at the time. One Friday night in 2013, Megan’s friend had a small gathering of people at her mum’s house, whilst we were all drinking the cheapest vodka and cider we could get our hands on, Nathan tagged along with his friends who were dating Megan’s friends. We sat next to each other on the sofa and shared the cheap vodka and cider. We didn’t see or speak to each other for a couple of weeks after that night, but Megan had heard through a friend that Nathan thought she was “fit” (how flattering). Eventually, Nathan added Megan on Facebook and we spent a couple of nights speaking over Facebook messenger about our likes and dislikes (really exciting conversations about Eastenders and hot chocolate). We planned a cinema date to watch “This Is The End” and then Nathan walked Megan home and we exchanged phone numbers. We met up a handful of times throughout the summer, going on walks and watching horror films at Nathan’s mum’s house. However, it fizzled out towards the end of the summer, and we started seeing other people. At the beginning of 2014, we exchanged a couple of messages but never much more. However, Summer must be our season because in June 2014, whilst Nathan was sat in an airport about to board a plane to spend 2 weeks in Malia with his best friends, he dropped Megan a Snapchat and we met up almost as soon as he got home. Nathan introduced Megan to his best friends in August 2014 (something he’d never done the previous time we had dated) and in September 2014, out of the blue, Nathan’s younger sister called Megan “Nathan’s girlfriend” and so we decided to make it official.

What tips do you have for those planning a wedding?

Start early but also take your time, view as many venues as possible, and research everything!! Soak it all up and enjoy being engaged for as long as possible because you’ll be married before you know it… The wedding blues are real 🙁

How did you find me?

Nathan didn’t actually see the point of having a videographer but Megan was determined we were having one. Megan wanted documentary style and to capture the day in such a way that, when we watch it back, it’s like we’re right back there. We wanted to see our guests having fun and also anything we might have missed/forgot about during the blur and rush of the day. Megan also likes when there is speaking over sections of the wedding video. Megan spent an afternoon in Lockdown 3.0 watching all of the videos on your website and cried like a baby at all of them (even though they were all complete strangers’!) and knew you were the one from then on. After our zoom call, we couldn’t secure you quick enough. From the beginning of wedding planning, we said we wanted our suppliers to be the loveliest and friendliest people ever who we could talk to with ease – the zoom call proved you were exactly that.
