South Farm Wedding Video | Emma & Luke

South Farm Wedding Video | Emma & Luke

Shot on location at South Farm, Cambridgeshire | December 2022

Emma & Luke’s South Farm Wedding was my final Wedding of 2022 & I was very much looking forward to it. I had enjoyed the chats that we’d had over the year or so since first booking & I knew that this was to be a good day with good people. I really had a great time putting together their South Farm Wedding Video.

This was my first trip to South Farm. About an hour or so from where I live, it was good to have something to focus on & some work to do during that period between Christmas & New Year. (I’ve heard this is called Twixmas? The Norwegians call it ‘Romjul’ apparently, which is something I’ve just learnt). The team at the venue were friendly & welcoming; keen to show me around & talk me through their plan & how they run things.

The venue is stunning, smaller than I imagined, but well run & quirky. It was a cold & dark day, not usually the best conditions to film, but the venue, along with Emma & Luke’s meticulous planning & colour scheme made the day welcoming & warm.

I enjoyed wandering around South Farm in the morning during the prep, popping into see Emma & the girls before waiting to see Luke & the boys. Both preps were quite peaceful, everyone very much relaxed ahead of a special day. In fact, both myself & photographer Tom Halliday had mentioned how calm & relaxed everyone seemed.

A quick mention for Tom. I love the man. Always fun on the day, I’ve worked with him a load of times & love his company & enthusiasm. Always takes amazing images. Always works hard. I literally love that man.

I should mention Luke’s speech, which was one of the best I’ve heard. 350 odd weddings into this game I usually think I’ve heard it all, but Luke’s speech was sincere, funny, touching…..all the things you want from a groom’s speech. He got the tone spot on. It was a great speech & was a joy to hear about his & Emma’s back story.

I hope Emma & Luke, along with their friends & family, enjoy this film of their day. I loved putting together their South Farm Wedding Video & I thank them for their help & hospitality on the day.

How did you both meet?

We met on a Dating App, while Emma was home for summer from Shanghai (where she lived for 2 years teaching). We then dated between Shanghai and fell in love travelling Asia together!

Why did you choose me?

We’d seen a video you had done for our friends wedding – Nikki & Dan

What would be your number one tip to other couples planning their wedding?

Do what you want and don’t worry about the family politics – it’s your day!
