Mulberry House Wedding Video | Cate and Joe
Shot on location at Mulberry House, Essex – June 2026
Cate and Joe’s Mulberry House wedding took place at the start of June, just as a week long heatwave finally came to an end. The sunshine gave way to cooler temperatures, grey skies and the occasional shower. After filming weddings in thirty degree heat, I have to admit the rain and shade were quite welcome… although there was one small problem.
Cate had booked lawn games.
Won’t somebody think of the lawn games?
Thankfully, nobody seemed too concerned. The weather never dampened the atmosphere and, if anything, it made the day feel even cosier. Guests embraced it, everyone stayed in great spirits, and the celebration never missed a beat.
This was my first time filming a Mulberry House wedding for a little while, and it reminded me what a lovely venue it is. The elegant interiors came into their own once everyone moved inside, while the grounds still gave us opportunities to sneak outside whenever the rain eased.
Cate and Joe were brilliant to work with from the moment I arrived. Relaxed, full of laughter and clearly just excited to be getting married. Their children were equally wonderful and brought so much personality to the day. Watching them enjoy every moment alongside their family was one of my favourite parts of the wedding.
Their story began back in 2014 on a night out at Vertigo Bar in Hornchurch. “We met on a night out in Hornchurch in Vertigo Bar in 2014. Joe will tell you I was 45 minutes late. He waited! And knowing him now, the man who doesn’t wait more than three minutes in a queue, I take that as flattery!”
Safe to say, it was worth the wait.
One of the standout moments from their Mulberry House wedding came during the speeches. They were all excellent, but Joe’s in particular was one I’ll remember for a long time. He beautifully told the story of how they met, reflected on the life they’d built together, and spoke with real warmth and affection about Cate’s family. It was heartfelt, funny and incredibly sincere.
Then, just when everyone thought the speech was coming to an emotional conclusion…
Out came a life size cardboard cut-out of Mikel Arteta to celebrate Arsenal’s Premier League title win.
The room erupted.
It was completely unexpected, completely ridiculous, and absolutely perfect.
I loved filming Cate and Joe’s Mulberry House wedding and I wish to thank them and their friends and family for their hospitality on the day. I hope they love this film!
