Back the wonderful High House, this time for Lauren & Gavin’s wonderful day. I really enjoyed myself at their wedding & loved putting together this High House Wedding Video.
One of the many things I really loved about Lauren & Gavin’s day was how personal it was to them as a couple. I learnt very early on about their passion for travel & it was lovely to see all the little touches in their day that reflected this. I think one of the most important aspects of a wedding is that it reflects the couple’s personality & passions & the touches – particularly around the table centerpieces & name tags really reflected Lauren & Gavin’s passion.
Lauren & Gavin’s day was their third booking & I felt the sense of relief all around that they were finally able to have their day. I also enjoyed catching up with their friends Hannah & Pete whose wedding was the last I shot before the pandemic, back in 2020. Pete threw some mean shapes on the dancefloor that I had to include in this High House Wedding Film!
It was also great to work alongside the brilliant Jon Thompson at Pure Image once again. Jon is such great company & takes some beautiful images. It’s always a pleasure to work alongside him & the team at High House. I love the venue & the team – they always look after their couples, & their suppliers so well.
I hope Lauren & Gavin, along with their friends & family, enjoy this film of their day. I loved putting together their High House Wedding Video & I thank them for their help & hospitality on the day.
How did you both meet?
I (Gavin) started as a young entrepreneur purchasing ten V Festival Camping Tickets in 2011 (Year Eminem was Headlining for approximately £170.00 per ticket). I then sold the remaining 9. This is how Lauren & I met as she purchased one of the remaining 9 tickets from me for £230.00. (She did get discount, some people even paid me £250.00)!
How did you get engaged?
Being the travel enthusiasts that we are (Our wedding theme is based on travel and the places we have visited). We went to Maldives in October 2017. We had been together for 6 years and lived together for over a year and knew it was the right time. I asked the question on the sandbank at sunset a few nights before the end of the holiday.
Why did you choose High House?
We viewed 7-10 venues. Believe it or not, we didn’t think High House was going to be the venue for us. Lauren wasn’t fussed about viewing it as she wanted a barn for the reception, I viewed it the week before their wedding season ended and walked away knowing that was the venue for us. I instantly made Lauren attend that Saturday before High House took down the marquee and she was in complete agreement.
