Gaynes Park Wedding Film | Charlotte & Chris

Gaynes Park Wedding Film | Charlotte & Chris

Shot on location at Gaynes Park, Epping | October 2021

This was a brilliant day & what a wonderful wedding! I loved my time with Charlotte & Chris & I loved putting together their Gaynes Park Wedding Film.

I must have been at Gaynes Park more than any other venue during 2021. Even for a truncated wedding season I think I’ve shot at the venue now over 10times this year. But it is always a pleasure working at Gaynes Park. Suppliers are always well treated & couples always looked after & this was very much evident for Charlotte & Chris’ day.

Charlotte & Chris had put on such a beautiful day. They were both full of emotion & joy, I don’t think Charlotte stopped smiling all day which was so wonderful to capture & Chris was happy to let the emotion of the day come out. One of my favourite moments of the day was as Charlotte appeared at the top of Gaynes Park’s long walk & the tears started for Chris. It was his brother’s touching rub of his back that got me. A small, gentle moment but one that was so special.

I was delighted to work alongside the brilliant Terry Lewis once again & Justin Bailey who was looking after the still photography. Both are good fun to be around & helped make the day run so smoothly.

I hope Charlotte & Chris, along with their friends & family, enjoy this film of their day. I loved putting together this Gaynes Park Wedding Film & I thank them for their help & hospitality on the day.

How did you both meet?

Through a mutual friend – Chris’ roommate at university was on my Psychology course. He offered me a casual job working at Cheltenham racecourse for BetFred, where I met Chris. They tried setting me up with their friend John but I knew Chris was the one for me! Chris went on a trip to South Africa for 3 weeks after that and when he came back he messaged me. We had our first date in July 2012, in Oxford – halfway between Essex and Bath. We had lunch in Nandos… and we’ve been together ever since.

Why Gaynes Park?

The stunning gardens and the long walk. Gaynes Park had everything – we knew we wanted a barn but we loved the Orangery too. We looked at 3 wedding venues in total.

How did you get engaged?

In 2018, we booked a getaway for October half term, back to Cheltenham where we went to university and first met. I always thought I would know if Chris were going to propose but it came as a complete surprise! We were walking around the campus where we had studied, reminiscing and Chris dropped to one knee; I was so shocked he had to ask me twice because I never answered!
