Carlton House Terrace Wedding Video | Sara & Murray
Shot on location at 10-11 Carlton House Terrace, London | July 2021
Sara & Murray’s beautiful Carlton House Terrace Wedding was a very good day, for many reasons. Personally, it was my first wedding back in almost a year. A year of postponements & rescheduling, of challenge & change.
But of course, this is something that Sara & Murray know all too well about & I can offer my sincere admiration to them for their determination in getting their 10-11 Carlton House Terrace Wedding planned…….& now completed!
My day started by taking a cab to the venue to get some set up & to drop some equipment off. I had shot at the venue once before & in fact one of the best things about a Carlton House Terrace Wedding is that you are right in the middle of London. The views from the venue take in The Mall & The London Eye & it’s very easy to take in the sights & enjoy the city from the venue.
From there I wandered over to the Ham Yard Hotel, to see the girls & capture some of the prep. Since we were only a stones throw from the venue, it made sense for the girls to walk over once the prep was done, & this led to one of my favourite moments from Sara & Murray’s day as the girls walked through London to the venue. Naturally, they took a trip via Shaftsbury Avenue & then down Haymarket and of course there were a lot of wonderfully kind wishes showered towards Sara that morning.
This was a new era for me, wedding wise, with Covid restrictions enforcing mark wearing at certain occasions & Sara & Murray’s guests complied & embraced this. Certainly for me it didn’t feel weird & I’m excited about to looking back on this film in years to come & seeing a turbulent moment in history told through the context of a Wedding celebration.
I should thank photographer Ricky Baillie for his help & his company on the day. Ricky had travelled from Scotland for this Wedding & I enjoyed working alongside him. In fact, one of my favourite memories of this day was as Ricky & I were sat grabbing some food, only to notice the perfect light in the sky. We quickly grabbed Sara & Murray & took them outside for a quick 10 minutes in the golden hour light which made for some lovely images.
I hope Sara & Murray, along with their friends & family, enjoy this film of their day. I loved putting together their Carlton House Terrace Wedding Film & I thank them for their help & hospitality on the day.
