Braxted Park Wedding Video | Tarnya and Jamie
Shot on location at Braxted Park, Essex – August 2026

Tarnya and Jamie’s Braxted Park wedding took place at the end of August, rounding off the summer at one of my favourite Essex venues. This was a beautiful day with a couple who were great fun to be around, and a love story that had moved at quite some pace to get them here.
They first met on Hinge in May 2024 and spent weeks messaging non-stop before finally meeting on 6 June for their first date at Boom Battle Bar. Shuffleboard and axe throwing and questionable levels of competitiveness. Jamie may have won the shuffleboard, but apparently he was slightly more concerned by just how good Tarnya was at throwing an axe.
Jamie was hooked pretty much immediately. Alongside the obvious attraction, they discovered a shared love of performing arts and, brilliantly, what they describe as a “champagne lifestyle on lemonade money”.
Tarnya needed a little more convincing.
From there, things moved quickly. Tarnya bought a house in September 2024 and Jamie essentially arrived and never left. By January 2025 he’d sold his own house, and Tarnya’s place in Essex officially became their home. Just over a year after that first date, we were all at Braxted Park for their wedding.
When it came to finding the venue, they looked at five or six different options, but nothing else came close. “The moment we arrived, we both knew it was something special. We loved that it is an exclusive-use venue, meaning we could spend the entire day celebrating with our family and friends without sharing it with anyone else.”
The grounds, lakes, surrounding countryside and beautiful house all played their part, but it was the Orangery that really won them over. “The Orangery was the real showstopper for us. It’s such a magical, light-filled space and we could instantly picture ourselves saying our vows there. From our very first visit, we both knew Braxted Park was where we wanted to get married.”
Having filmed a number of Braxted Park weddings, I can completely understand that. There is something about coming down that long driveway and seeing the house ahead of you that immediately gives the day a sense of occasion. Once you’re there, however, the venue has a wonderfully relaxed feel, with so many different spaces for guests to enjoy throughout the day.
Tarnya and Jamie actually found me through my good friend and photographer Matt Wing, who very kindly recommended me to them.
“As soon as we watched your films, we knew your style was exactly what we were looking for. We loved how natural and romantic your films feel. Rather than feeling staged, they capture genuine emotions, all the little moments, and the atmosphere of the day.”
Tarnya and Jamie wanted a film they could return to years from now and genuinely relive their wedding through, rather than simply watch a collection of beautiful shots. With a story involving Hinge, competitive axe throwing, and a relationship that went from a first date to building a home together at remarkable speed, there was certainly plenty to work with.
Their Braxted Park wedding was a brilliant way to round off August. A beautiful venue, a wonderful group of family and friends, and two pretty special people.
