Braxted Park Wedding Video | Laura and Sam
Shot on location at Braxted Park, Essex – July 2026
–
Laura and Sam’s Braxted Park wedding took place in July, right in the middle of one of the most glorious summers I can remember. Blue skies, sunshine all day long and the beautiful Essex countryside looking its absolute best….if a little parched!
More importantly, Laura and Sam were simply great company. Relaxed and funny, they were completely present throughout the day and they made filming effortless. There was a lovely energy from the morning prep right through to the dancing in the evening, and it was clear how excited everyone was to celebrate with them.
Their story, however, wasn’t exactly straightforward.
Laura will tell you they met on Bumble. Sam insists it was Hinge.
That debate is apparently still ongoing. What they do agree on is that Sam “ghosted” Laura… twice… before they finally met. Laura, quite rightly, got her own back by turning him down twice when he asked her for a second date during their first date.
Fortunately for Sam, she eventually changed her mind.
By the second date, Sam had a feeling Laura might be the one when he arrived to find she’d already bought a lovely bottle of wine for the evening. Laura had her own moment a little later, when Sam surprised her with tickets to see Les Misérables for their fifth date, her favourite musical.
From then on, life was split between Sam’s flat in Plaistow and Laura’s in Brentwood. Sam admits he wasn’t completely convinced about Essex at first, but it didn’t take long before it felt like home. In fact, he liked it so much that they bought a house together in Billericay, and got engaged just a week later.
When it came to choosing a venue, they explored plenty of options.
“We looked at five or six venues, but the minute we drove down the drive at Braxted we thought it was the one. When we then met the team we knew it was.”
It is easy to understand why. A Braxted Park wedding offers one of the most impressive arrivals of any venue in Essex. The sweeping driveway, elegant Georgian mansion and beautifully kept grounds immediately give the day a real sense of occasion, while the fantastic team make sure everything runs seamlessly from beginning to end.
Laura and Sam’s Braxted Park wedding was built around two people who clearly bring out the best in each other. From debating which dating app brought them together, to ghosting, musical theatre and finally finding a home together in Essex, theirs is a love story with plenty of twists, but one that was always heading in the right direction.
Thank you Laura and Sam for your help and hospitality on your day – I hope you love this film of your Braxted Park Wedding!
