This was a really special day, for a number of reasons and I should thank Kerri-Anne and Lee for such a brilliant wedding. I loved putting together their Smeetham Hall Wedding Video and am delighted to present it here.
It was good to be back at Smeetham Hall. My wife and I were married at the venue in *CHECKS NOTES* 2010 and being back at the venue brings back happy memories. I hope Kerri-Anne and Lee get the same feeling should they return to the place in years to come.
My day started early with Kerri-Anne and the girls in Long Melford where I found a relaxed bridal prep. Everyone was on good form and looking forward to the day. I took the short trip from there to Smeetham Hall to find the boys wandering about and the venue being dressed.
A quick mention to the readings during Kerri-Anne and Lee’s ceremony. I’d never heard a Death Cab for Cutie song reference at a wedding and it was a joy to hear the lyrics to Passenger Seat being read. I’d been listening to the Transatlanticsm album a lot this year and it was wonderful to hear it referenced at a wedding.
I do hope Kerri-Anne and Lee, along with their family and friends, enjoy this Smeetham Hall Wedding Video and I thank them both for their help and hospitality on the day.
Why did you choose Smeetham Hall?
Looked at a few, and ended up with a shortlist of two. It was important to us that our wedding didn’t feel like it was just another wedding on a conveyor belt, or a ‘wedding by numbers’. Smeetham Hall didn’t feel like that at all, and it felt like Bridget at the venue really cared about the success of our day. Her attitude and approach won it over.
Why did you choose me?
You were recommended to us by our photographer Garrett and we were keen to find someone who captured the day naturally and candidly, rather than staged video shoots etc. After watching your example videos, and having spoken to you it was clear this was your approach too.
What would be your number one tip to other couples planning their wedding?
Book suppliers early, so you have a good idea in advance of what things will cost!
