The Old Hall Ely Wedding Video | Francesca and Elliot

This was my first time filming at The Old Hall Ely, an incredibly well designed Jacobean manor just outside of Ely, and I had a wonderful day filming Francesca and Elliot’s Old Hall Ely Wedding Video.
As with the majority of my weddings this year, the day started wet. Francesca and Elliot had planned to have an outside ceremony, but with the rain coming down in the morning, the decision was made to move everything inside. One of the joys of an Old Hall Ely wedding is that the inside ceremony space is so light and spacious and it was a beautiful space to film in.
I started early with Francesca and the girls before moving across to meet Elliot and the boys. Both preps were excitable, everyone looking forward to the day, regardless of the weather.
Infact, the weather did actually play ball with us for a bit, as staright after the ceremony Francesca and Elliot’s guests were able to celebrate outside as we had a break in the rain for an hour or so.
I should mention one of my favourite little moments of the day was Elliot’s speech, which was pitched perfectly. Funny and touching, my favourite part his line was around 4’06” and then Francescas’s reaction which was beautiful.
I do hope Francesca and Elliot, along with their family and friends, enjoy this Old Hall Ely Wedding Video and I thank them both for their help and hospitality on the day.
Why did you choose The Old Hall?
We fell in love with The Old Hall as soon as we viewed it. It had everything we wanted in a venue. As this was the first venue we looked at, we felt we couldn’t commit straight away, so we looked at 2 more but they didn’t compare. The fact that whether we have our wedding inside or outside, the views are the same really helped make our decision. We love that everything is in once place, so not lots of walking for the guests.
Why did you choose me?
We saw a wedding video you did for some friends of ours and knew it was the style of video we would like for our wedding too. We had a meeting with you and a few others, but we were reassured when you confirmed you don’t take on too many weddings and allow yourself time to work on editing too. We’ve heard many horror stories about delays with wedding videos, and have friends who are still waiting 2 years later.
