High House Wedding | Jess and Ben

This was a really brilliant day, thank you Jess and Ben for a lovely day, I really enjoyed myself at this wedding and it was good to be back at High House once again. I’m delighted to present this High House Wedding Video.
I’m lucky to film at High House a lot, and am delighted to be one of their recommended suppliers. I always enjoy my time at High House. This wedding was rather special though, the whole tone of the day was full of joy. Jess in particular, didn’t stop beaming all day and that energy is infectious. I’m a firm believer that the couple set the tone for a wedding, and this was set early. The bridal prep was full of music and laughter which continued for the whole day.
I should say however, that it was a windy day. After a blistering hot June, this was the week the weather changed, and though it wasn’t cold, the wind got up and Jess in particular struggled with the wind and her hair. Not that it mattered too much, again, she beamed through the whole day.
A quick mention to not only the speeches – both Jess and Ben delivered funny and touching speeches, but their personal vows which gave a very intimate and personal element to the ceremony. I can’t stress enough how personal vows really bring a ceremony to life. I would encourage all couples to consider writing their own vows, they bring so much personality to a ceremony, as displayed here.
It was great to work alongside John at Pure Image once again, we work together often throughout a wedding season and it was good to catch up. I should also mention the team at High House who are a lot of fun and really look after myself and John.

How did you both meet?
At sixth form at school, we have been together ever since (12 years in June)! We have lived together 6 of those and have built our home together in Rickmansworth with our dog Dexter!
Why did you choose High House?
We looked at lots of barn / garden venues but we loved High House for its beautiful grounds. The team were so attentive when we attended the open day and we felt as though they had thought of everything with all the little details to make the day special. We love the natural beauty of it (especially the willow tree) and the fact its private and only for us and our guests on the day! We also loved both the indoor and outdoor options which wasn’t the case with other places we looked at
