Gaynes Park Wedding | Sophie & Neil

Gaynes Park Wedding | Sophie & Neil

Shot on location at Gaynes Park, Essex | April 2023

I had a great time at this wedding, this was one of those good days. Great couple & a brilliant venue meant that I loved putting together Sophie & Neil’s Gaynes Park Wedding Video.

Gaynes Park is a stunning venue. Nestled amidst 1,000 acres of unspoiled English countryside, Gaynes Park is a breathtakingly beautiful venue that boasts a 16th-century Orangery, a charming Apple Loft Cottage, and panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. I’m luckily to shoot here a number of times each year & it’s always lovely to come back each season. I was delighted to be back here for Sophie & Neil’s wedding, this was my first trip in 2023 & I’m very luckly to be booked for a number of Weddings here this summer so it was good to be back again at Gaynes Park.

On arrival I went to see Sophie in the Gaynes Park Apple Loft Cottage to say hello & start capturing some of the set up. Around this time Neil arrived with best man Jon & the boys were charged with getting Sophie & Neil’s young son Oscar ready for the big day.

From then, much of the morning was spent going back & forth between preps as well as capturing the rest of the set up at the venue ahead of the service. The best part of the for me was Oscar’s arrival into the Gaynes Park orangery – driven in with his Dad to a rapturous round of applause. It was a brilliant moment & I was delighted to capture it in this Gaynes Park Wedding Video!

The ceremony took place in the breathtaking Orangery before the newlyweds & their guests moved to the Walled Garden, a stunning outdoor space that was bathed in warn spring sunlight.

Much of the joy of the day came from spending time once again with photographer Nic from Lemonade Pictures. We worked together years ago at Rachel & Luke’s Riverhill Gardens Wedding & it was good to work with her once again & to catch up.

I hope Sophie & Neil, along with their friends & family, enjoy this film of their day. I loved putting together their Gaynes Park Wedding Video & I thank them for their help & hospitality on the day.

How did you both meet?

Sophie – We met in a pub 7 years ago. Nearly a year after, we found out we was expecting our gorgeous daughter and we bought our first house together. We planned to get married August 2021 but because of COVID, I got made redundant so had to cancel the wedding. We rescheduled for April 2023 and in August 2021 we found out we was having another baby. We have a little boy now and we have had a tough time with his health so the wedding is something for everyone to look forward to.

Why did you choose Gaynes Park?

Sophie – From the moment I saw gaynes park online, I knew it was the place I wanted to get married. It was the first place we looked at and fell in love straight away. We looked at a few more venues but Gaynes Park always stuck in our minds.

Why did you choose me for your Gaynes Park Wedding?

We choose you because we liked how natural the videos looked and noticed how all the couples looked comfortable even though they were being filmed. As a couple we get very shy infront of people and infront of the camera so this was very important to us. We also enjoyed that you manage to catch the most important parts of the day and also parts that we may miss or not remember.

What would be your number one tip to other couples planning their wedding?

To take your time. We have changed our mind so many times and got so wrapped up at the start in thinking we wanted something when it wasn’t that important to us. Luckily we had a few years to think about it and there are quite a few things we have changed.
