Cooling Castle Wedding Video | Bahar and Andrew
Shot on location at Cooling Castle Barn – January 2026
My first wedding of 2026 took me back to Cooling Castle Barn for Bahar and Andrew’s beautiful winter celebration. It had been a few years since I last filmed at Cooling Castle, so it was genuinely good to be back, and even better to kick off the new season there.
January certainly made its presence known. The day was cold and wet, with that crisp winter air that gets into your fingers, but inside the barn there was nothing but warmth, laughter and excitement. It felt like the perfect way to get back into the swing of things after a short winter break.

Bahar arrived bright and early at 8am, ready to begin the day with her bridal party around her. The atmosphere during prep was relaxed but full of anticipation. Polly was on make up duty while Cara worked her magic on hair, and the room was filled with chatter from bridesmaids, nieces and family members all stepping in to help.
Andrew arrived later that morning to get ready with his best men and ushers. There is always something lovely about filming both sides of the morning, that quiet build up before everything begins. Despite the grey skies outside, everyone was in great spirits.
I also had the pleasure of working alongside my good friend Tom Halliday on photography. We have worked together many times over the years and it always makes the day feel effortless. There is a natural rhythm when you know how each other works, which is exactly what you want on a busy wedding morning.

The ceremony took place at 1.30pm inside the barn. With no readings, the focus was completely on Bahar and Andrew and the promises they were making to each other. It was heartfelt, sincere and full of emotion.
After the ceremony, guests braved the winter air for drinks, photos and plenty of confetti. Even with the rain threatening, everyone embraced it. There is something quite special about a winter wedding at Cooling Castle, the brickwork and barns looking especially atmospheric against a moody sky.

Dinner and speeches followed at 4pm. Bahar’s bridesman, Joe, spoke first, followed by Andrew. There was the perfect mix of humour and heartfelt moments. Later on, sparklers lit up the night sky and the photobooth kept guests entertained right through to the end of the evening .

Bahar and Andrew told me they looked at more than ten venues before choosing Cooling Castle. They wanted that barn feel, space for over one hundred guests, and a layout that kept everyone together rather than spread out. Cooling ticked every box, and it really showed on the day. Everything flowed naturally, from ceremony to reception to dancing, with guests always feeling connected to the action.
When I asked why they chose me, they mentioned the classical tones in my films and the feel of my website. That meant a lot. My aim is always to create something timeless, something that will feel just as special in twenty years as it does now.
Bahar and Andrew, thank you for trusting me with your Cooling Castle Wedding. It was a brilliant start to 2026 and a joy to be back at such a fantastic Kent venue, working with great suppliers and an even greater couple.
