Channels Estate Wedding Video | Finley and Fred
Shot on location at Channels Estate, Essex – March 2026
–
There is always something special about the first few weddings of the year. Finley and Fred’s Channels Estate wedding in March 2026 was my second of the season, which meant I was just finding my rhythm again after a few quieter months. Safe to say, this was a pretty perfect one to get back into the flow.
From the start, the whole day felt relaxed and easy. The best kind of wedding where everything just moves naturally, no rush, no pressure, just a great energy from morning through to the evening.
Finley and Fred’s story began back in 2017 at college, where they were in the same class. By New Year’s Day in 2018 they were officially together, moved in during 2019, and then bought their home in 2023. Their story together has buillt steadily over time, and you could really feel that foundation throughout the day.
One of my favourite little details was a nod to their very first date. Pizza. So naturally, pizza made an appearance again as their evening food, which went down very well with everyone. It is those personal touches that always make a wedding feel more like them.
The Channels Estate wedding setting suited them brilliantly. A beautiful Essex venue that works so well for a relaxed day, with everything flowing seamlessly from one part to the next. It gave the whole celebration a natural pace, which is exactly what you want when you are capturing real moments as they happen.
When they got in touch, they said something that really stuck with me:
“We looked at a lot of videographers, but we loved how your videos were not largely staged and very authentic. I really like the aspect ratio you use, sounds silly I know but some videographers do not do what you do. We really love the drone footage and the way you put the footage over the speeches. We also love the music choices which are very soft and fade into the background without being an actual song”
That is exactly what I aim for. Nothing forced, nothing overly staged, just honest storytelling with space for the day to breathe.
Finley and Fred’s Channels Estate wedding was the perfect reminder of how good it feels to be back filming weddings again. A brilliant couple, a relaxed atmosphere, and a day full of genuine moments.
Finley and Fred, thank you for trusting me with your Channels Estate Wedding. It was a brilliant day and I thank you for your help and hospitality and hope you and your friends and family love this film.
