I had a really wonderful day with Zoe & Reece & loved putting together their Baddow Park House Wedding Video. Theirs was a beautiful day, at a really lovely venue that I’d not shot at before & with a cast of friends & family who were all looking to celebrate….finally.
This was Zoe & Reece’s 3rd Wedding date & I gathered a sense of relief that the day was finally here. Although I also found everyone throughly relaxed on the day. It was almost as if Zoe’s meticulous planning had allowed the day to run stress free!
This was my first Baddow Park House Wedding & although I was new to the venue I was ably assisted by photographer Lesley Anne & planner Gaynor, both of whom I’d worked with before & both knew the venue well. I was impressed with Baddow Park House. Grand yet welcoming, a new venue always allows for some experimentation with light & composition & I enjoyed testing myself during Zoe & Reece’s day.
I hope Zoe & Reece, along with their friends & family, enjoy this film of their day. I loved putting together their Baddow Park House Wedding Video & I thank them for their help & hospitality on the day.
How did you guys meet?
We met in perhaps the nerdiest way possible! We both were attending a public speaking competition representing our respective schools. Zoë’s school was hosting and it was her job to collect us from reception. We barely spoke on the day however afterwards through the magic of social media we got chatting and the rest is history!
How did you both get engaged?
Having spent 5 years at uni in Bristol studying medicine and managing a long-distance relationship all of that time, Reece’s graduation marked the start of the rest of our lives – him moving back home to Essex and the chance to start looking to buy a house together. One year prior to Reece’s graduation he asked my parents to marry me and they had to keep the whole thing a secret for a year until the big day! Reece proposed outside the Wills Memorial Building in Bristol, getting down on one knee and popping the question in front of our parents and all of his uni friends graduating too. The whole thing was such a huge surprise and still amazes me to this day that everyone kept it a secret for so long!
