Stoke by Nayland Wedding Video – Shot on location at Stoke By Nayland, Suffolk.
I absolutely loved filming Rebecca & James’ Wedding because theirs was a day that had all the perfect elements. A great couple, a wonderful venue & a stunning cast of friends & family. Apart from the odd 5 minute hailstorm right in the middle of the day – this was pretty much a perfect wedding for me.
Plus, I got to indulge in my favourite waste of time & watch a little bit of golf!
Speaking of which, this was my first time filming a Stoke By Nayland Wedding, although I knew the venue well having played golf there a few times. Because of this, I knew a few of the interesting spots that I wanted to explore on the course before I had arrived at the venue that morning. Having said that the team on hand were incredibly helpful for both myself & photographer Helen Elliot were able to get into some really interesting places later in the afternoon.
But, I’m jumping ahead.
I started the day with Rebecca & the girls for the bridal prep & I found a happy & relaxed Bride in the middle of her make up. Again, as I mention in my FAQ, I almost always start filming from the prep in the morning as it helps brides to feel at ease with the camera being around. There were no worries here, the girls were all relaxed & happy with cameras being around & I was very happy with the footage I got with the girls.
From there I made my way to the church. Having left Stoke by Nayland in bright sunshine, I arrived 5 minutes down the road in the middle of an utterly random hail storm. Because of this I spent 10 minutes sat in the car as I waited for the storm to pass & the boys to arrive.
After the service we made our way back to Stoke By Nayland for some photos out by the 10th tee & some drinks & nibbles with Rebecca & James’ friends & family before sitting down for speeches & food. All 4 speeches were delivered brilliantly & I should give props to Rebecca’s Dad for a incredibly funny speech. Having said that, he was slightly outshone by James who delivered a masterclass of a groom’s speech. Funny & touching, this was a speech that was delivered brilliantly & told their story perfectly.
Another reason why this day was so great for me was that I was delighted to be working alongside the brilliant Helen Elliot once again. A brilliant photographer whom I have worked alongside a number of times, including very recently at Smeetham Hall. We had a great time in the evening as the sun was setting with Rebecca & James as we all drove out towards the sunset for some incredible evening shots.
As a result, I loved putting together this Stoke By Nayland Wedding Video, and I enjoyed my time with Rebecca & James. I hope they & their families enjoy this film of their day.
A Little Bit About our Bride & Groom
How did you guys meet, tell me all?
Me and James have known each other since birth , we grew up 2 doors down from one another for 12 years until he moved, we went through school together as friends, after if we saw each other our we would always say hello, but didn’t start speaking properly again until I starting working at a company called Specflue, as James worked there too, we started dating but then James went to Australia for what was meant to be for year, but after 3 months he ran out of money and came home, then we officially got together 6 months after.
How did you get engaged, is there a cool story?
It was on our 4 year anniversary, I opened my card and James had surprised me with a spa day, he went down stair to make the tea and called me saying our Cat was doing something Funny and to come look, after huffing that I had to get out of bed I came down to find the cat with a ribbon round his neck and my ring tied to it
