Northbrook Park Wedding Video – Shot on location at Northbrook Park, Surrey
I absolutely loved putting together this Northbrook Park Wedding Video for Sarah Jane and Ryan and I had such a fun day with them both. I really enjoyed this wedding, it had a wonderfully lovely tone to the day. It’s quite hard to describe how this day made me feel, but I’ve tried to transport the energy and feeing into this special Northbrook Park Wedding Video for Sarah Jane and Ryan.
My day started with the girls, bright and early at the venue. This was my first time at Northbrook Park and I had slightly underestimated how far it was from me in Essex, so I had left quite early to get to the venue in time for the bridal prep. In fact, by the time I had arrived, both bridal and groom prep hadn’t yet started so I found plenty of time to wander around the venue to shoot establishing shots. There was, in fact, a lot going on. The venue staff were both preparing the venue for the day whilst also showing around new couples, and Hannah Berry and her team were setting up the incredible floral displays.
With both preps in the same venue I was able to capture both ahead of the ceremony on the beautiful Vine Room. The ceremony was fantastic and I was particularly taken with Ryan’s mother’s reading. I’ve included it into this highlights film as the emotion in her voice is incredibly moving. Post ceremony, there were drinks and games in the walled garden before food and speeches in the orangey.
During the afternoon, myself and photographer Joanna Bongard took SJ and Ryan off for some couple’s shots, and I was delighted to find that they were so at ease with each other. Some couples tend to worry when the cameras are placed in front of them, but not these two who took everything in their stride and I got some great footage of them both. I’d worked with Joanna once before when we worked out we actually went to the same school together, albeit a few years apart. It was great to see her and work along side her once again.
As well as Joanna, I was lucky to work alongside some other great suppliers for this wedding, and each one delivered brilliantly for Sarah Jane and Ryan. It’s always great when everyone is on the same page for a wedding and this was one of those perfect days! As a result, I loved putting together this Northbrook Park Wedding Video, and I enjoyed my time with Sarah Jane and Ryan. I hope they & their families enjoy this film of their day.
How did you guys meet, tell me all?
We actually meet around 2010 as we work for the same company but it took us a few years and a few projects we worked on together before Ryan asked me on a date. Well he suggested we go wine tasting but it was actually me who pressed him for a date and time.
How did you get engaged, is there a cool story?
We were visiting Ryan’s family in California and he had booked a surprise trip for 5am one morning. Reluctantly I got out of bed and we traveled to a vineyard I assumed we were making wine first of all. It wasn’t until I had my coffee I realised there was posters for hot air balloons everywhere. We had a private balloon and above the vineyards around Temecula Ryan got down on one knee and proposed
What made you choose your wedding venue, did you look at many?
We looked about about 5 different venues. I actually didn’t want to see Northbrook at first but Ryan persuaded me after he found out there was no corkage fee. When we arrived it was clear the pictures don’t do it justice. The vine room where the ceremony is held is wonderfully bright with beautiful detailing. Then the walked garden is the perfect size for a lovely drinks reception with the water fountain on the side and peacocks and ducks waddling around then the orangery where you spent the rest of the evening/ night it feels like your outdoors with its greenhouse feel but with loads of room for it never to feel cramped.
What is your first song and why?
We actually have two first dance songs. The first is Adam Sandler’s song I want to grow old with you from our favourite film the wedding singer. As it’s only about a minute long we decided to do part of a more upbeat song afterwards so everyone can join in half way through which is you make my dreams come true by hall and Oates
What would be your number one tip to other couples planning their wedding?
Share the duties equally as possible. The fact that both of us have split duties and we update the other one on things we have accomplished over the day it’s really kept the stress down for both of us and each of our skills has really come in handy.
