Gaynes Park Wedding Video – Shot on location at Gaynes Park, Essex
I loved putting together Robyn and Jamie’s Gaynes Park Wedding Video. This was a really fun wedding, in a great venue alongside some of the best suppliers in the business, so for me, it was a good day.
My day started bright and early, arriving at Gaynes Park to get some establishing shots and to see Robyn and the girls. I love filming at Gaynes Park, it’s always such an immaculate venue and yet for this wedding I arrived just in time to see 3 large men trying to manoeuvre a massive tree into the Mill Barn whilst Jamie tried to set up a massive projector. It was a slightly chaotic start!
The bridal prep was busy as Robyn and the girls started to get ready and I got some shots there before heading to the Church to set up for the service. This was one of the best services I’ve ever filmed, with the Rev Tom Warmington putting on a brilliantly entertaining sermon before Robyn and Jamie were married. He alluded to it later on in the day during his speech, but our Groom was one of the most nervous I’ve ever seen before the service began. He did compose himself by the time Robyn walked down the aisle and the pair were finally married.
From here we headed back to Gaynes Park for reception drinks and speeches before the evening entertainment began. Robyn and Jamie had booked the brilliant Idreiss for their evening entertainment and he once again got the dancefloor bouncing well into the evening. Idreiss recently joined me on my Meet The Wedding Suppliers Podcast that you may wish to check out here.
I thoroughly enjoyed my day with Robyn and Jamie and I loved putting together their Gaynes Park Wedding Video. I hope they, and their families, enjoy this film of their day.
How did you guys meet, tell me all?
R: Having ‘swiped right’ on Tinder, we met at Topgolf but if J had it his way, it would have been Harvester! J: Rob turned up late (shock!)…leaving me in a bit of a sweat thinking that I’d been stood up! R: I just got stuck in traffic at the petrol station… J: Anyway, she eventually turned up and we had the best date… R: Such a good date that he left his watch in my bag so he could see me the next day! J: It was an accident! However, it meant I did get to see her the next day and the rest is history.
How did you get engaged, is there a cool story?
R: THE PROPOSAL… Ahhh! It was unbelievable and completely unexpected! We had planned the most amazing holiday because it was the first proper holiday we were going to be able to have after the transplant. As most of you will know, due to issues with J’s kidney we didn’t find out whether we could even go on our holiday until 6pm the night before we were meant to fly. I was worrying so much about going on holiday, I hadn’t even thought about getting engaged on it! J: Everything was planned, Mum & Dad had the ring, my brother had the music playlist ready and Abbey had the rose petals, candles and champagne. I told Rob we had a reservation at the Eiffel Tower restaurant at 7pm and told her not to be late….and she WASN’T! As we came out of the lift I stopped and asked Rob to put on a blindfold, as I had a surprise for her. We walked along the corridor and to the balcony in the grounds of the Bellagio Hotel. The music was playing and the rose petals and candles were in the shape of a heart. I led Rob to the middle, she took off her blindfold and I got down on one knee. I told her how happy she has made me and how I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. I asked her to marry me and she said YES!!!!
